This faction was lost in 2014 when its creator disappeared from the web and the links from the faction files in dropbox died. Only the main .txt (RED.txt) page and the image in this page survive.

To play this faction, I recommend to copy the RED.txt from this page to a new txt file and to copy the png from this page to create a new RED.PCX file for the faction graphics. You should copy any random Faction 2 and Faction 3 PCX files to replace the lost RED2.PCX and RED3.PCX. Perhpas someone will create another ones.

Good luck.

The faction was used in a "Monster" AARAfter Action Report from 2014.: https://alphacentauri2.info/index.php?topic=12974.0

The description by its creator is:

The idea is a cyborg faction, although less so than the Consciousness. Inbetween the University and Spartans. Cyborg technology connects all who live in this nation to the Command Web. A branch is located at every base, and data is transfered if one is lost. The Command Web is in essence a high-tech datalink system. If you are on the Command Web, you can pull yourself into a state controlled by your brain without any distractions, or mistakes. Of course, not everyone can do this unless you are a higher-up. In essence you can either use it like an internet from person-person rather than machine-machine, or you can use it to disconnect from yourself for a time. This allows for increased research (+1 Research). The battle mode that is downloaded to the military makes their normal morale seem like a +1 to us (+1 morale). Unfortunately, this creates a limited economic system, as many do not need supermarkets and such. It is all distributed, through Web Leaders. It is a bit controlled, but if you want to do it another way nobody stops you from creating that Food Mart you've been dreaming about. At least that's the idea. If you wanted to crash the Web, that would be nigh-impossible. "keys" are held by one person in every Cyborg base, and one spy/citizen in every other faction.
