Planet's fiercest avatars, the Locusts of Chiron are a ravenous winged variation the land-bound Mind Worms. The appearance of Locusts signifies considerable distress on the part of the originating neural net fungus.
Like any native unit, players can also release Locusts into the wild, to harass and disrupt an enemy. Native lifeforms stationed in xenofungus do not require support. Wild native lifeforms outside bases fight at reduced strength before 2115. Wild native lifeforms, when attacking bases, fight at reduced strength until 2150.
