Formers are terraforming units that can be used to improve and reshape Planet.

Formers can plant forests and farms; build roads and mag tubes, mines, solar collectors, Thermal Boreholes, Echelon Mirrors, Condensers, airbases, bunkers, and sensor arrays; reduce rockiness, drill to aquifers to create new rivers; remove and plant fungus; and even raise or lower terrain.

Unlike some other units, if a former has at least one movement, it will always enter a fungus square.
