Those were the last themes.

Here a list of all working themes:

* Core Theme: Bright and comfortable to read. Very similar to the default theme. (maybe unneccessary)
* Enterprise: Dark theme but also easy to read and not depressing dark.
* Blue Eyes: Light Blue theme with black writing. It seems to have all buttons, even Shop. The Header Image says Bryan Deakin.com. To my suprise it looks usable AND different to the default.
* Gone Fishin: Wooden planks and a lake in the background. Light blue. Seems to be working, though some Graphics seem to be a bit displaced.
* Astronomy: Seems to be working fine. Violett-blue theme but less aggressive than Stormfront v1. Even "home"-page works fine.
* The Killing: dark blue (or maybe dark cyan) theme. Seems to be working fine
* Catalysm: WoW-Theme, dark theme with light Scrolls as background for posts. Looks good, seems to be working.
* Minecraft: bright theme with minecraft-graphics here and there. Works fine.
* Black Ops: Dark Theme. Easy to read. Works fine.
* Happy new Year: Bright Theme with Orange and Blue. Works fine.
* Adk Halloween: Dark theme, Oranga Accents, easy to read. Works fine.
* Halloween I: it works, but navigation misses Icons and Quotes hurt the eyes.
* Ostara: Light Blue, cloudy Theme. works, but quotes just don't fit the theme.
* Thanksgiving: Warmly colored Theme, some brownish yellow (man Its hard to know colors outside of a 16color scheme). Works fine
* Christmas Carol: WInter-themed. with light blue and snowflakes. Icons and images displaced badly, but it works.
* SMF Pokemon: Pokemon theme, it really hurts the eyes with Green and red in contrast. Some Icons are missing, but the buttons exist. Its easy to read, but the background-colors kill me.
* Mayals: working, but every second post is almost impossible to read because its box is transparent and the theme uses a background with symbols on it. Light Brownish theme. "home" doesn't fit the theme but has all required links. Has two other variants that change the symbols in the background.
* Music: Bright theme with dark Background. Works fine and is easy to read.

A total of 18 working themes.

Again, I should be able to fix missing icons easily, if tediously - does missing buttons mean not there at all, as opposed to missing button icons?

if I write missin buttons, there are really no buttons to find. If I write Buttons are there but miss icons, then it is this way.

Ah.  Thanks.

We should probably be pretty picky with an eye towards cutting down on the final 18.  It looks bad for Mayals - and if that's the Mayan one, Uno wanted to use it back when I installed a million, but didn't think it was workable. ;no

Allright, any guideline what is preferable to keep and what less?

I going to have a look for myself and make executive decisions, based on whatever input I've gotten and my own impressions - just looking at each one is quite a big job, as you know.

The Shop stuff seems to be winding down, so maybe I can start today - we'll see.

I'm having the kind of problem I WANT to have, that people are posting enough, interesting enough, that I didn't get a lot of work done yesterday outside engaging in conversation.  -Which IS the work of AC2, in my capacity as host.

The two Shop issues I'd like to figure out how to fix, I can't find the files I need to alter on the server and need to appeal to the tech guys for guidance - I really ought to switch over to editing the Beginner's Getting-Started Strategy Guide next, but I'd rather begin tackling having a look at the themes first.  We'll see how fast I can get to that...

Hmmm.  This is just a test post in Core Theme.

Front Page button works and page shows, Reply page loads fine, all buttons seem to work -no pulldowns at the top of the page, though. Since this is just for my own investigation, I'll use a simple +/- = pass/fail grading, skipping Curve since that's the default.

-Just trying to see if I can get the WYSIWYG thing to work, posting.  Guess not, for this...

WAY too many page-top buttons missing, like to the ROOT, fer chrissakes -had to paste the url for the root directory in from the BUncle account to report while in this theme- if I had more savy 'bout altering stuff like that, it might be different, but death is the sentence.  Not going to investigate any further in future obvious problems of the sort.

-Arcane Magic
-PitchBlack
-Sapphire
-Alienation
(Now, everything seems to have a Front Page button working, and I COULD simply add a Root hyperlink and label to the "Alpha Centauri and Beyond" banner at the top, but since I'm looking to take out the trash [and betcha these all miss a lot more buttons than that with such a fundamental design oversight], forget it.  Too bad, too - I LOVED the AlieNation TV show.)
-Metallic Abyss
-ice Stars
-Mesh
(I could add a left sidebar with all the missing buttons for that matter, but on half these turkeys you couldn't even read them w/o highlighting.  BTW, Valka - I DID look into that w/ Enterprise and I'm lost.  Just highlight, or switch to Killing Time; sorry.)
-Halloween
(A little hideous, but this one I'd be tempted to implement the workarounds [there's a link to a patches poll thread already in place in the sidebar, and thus, to the Root, which I used to get here] I've thought of and keep, because at least seems legible, if only I didn't need to shave it down to 10 themes or less to make various img uploads not a two-hour job any time I change anything.  At all.  Posting an update at this point just to test the Reply buttons, which are [mostly] present in the QUICK Reply box, if not the Reply Page you have to press an unlabeled button to get to...  I had to switch to default and do an edit to do the resizing.)

Members strongly encouraged to have a look for themselves and comment - your pleas could possibly rescue something I've put on the Death List with a "-"prefix.

I'll put off deleting until late tonight, so DO have a look, but DO NOT DELAY about doing it, please...

-StormFront v1
+Blue Eyes

(Even the pull-downs work on the page-top buttons [better than Core and Enterprise, there] and the theme shows on the Front Page [if with the SMACX news column too narrow]!  Have to investigate the possible keepers more thoroughly, since I believe Eadee found much more than 10, so reporting now to check the Reply stuff.  Eh - the page width is borked, which makes this a maybe.  Pity, when it was doing so well.)

(Best pass of testing yet - Front Page looks great, buttons, pull-downs, everything but Icons I can/will upload to the theme showing right.  It even has the thread lable icons [taken from the default upload, I reckon] showing.  -Definite keeper, and in fact, this one is SO Rusty Edge that I'm gonna surprise him with it as soon as I've done that uploading.)

Abort, Retry, Fail?' was the phrase some wormdog scrawled next to the door of the Edit Universe project room. And when the new dataspinners started working, fabricating their worlds on the huge organic comp systems, we'd remind them: if you see this message, always choose 'Retry.
