I see that latest patch changed the way the retool penalty works – now even if you retool the production at early stage (first mineral row), you loose a part of the minerals (even if you revert to the original item in the same turn). A really painful lesson regarding latest patch if (like in my case) taken after the decision to change production in all the cities - I had changed the production in all of them before I noticed those new rules... :(

Anyway, the idea is really rational – if you change the item (no matter the production stage), a part of the efforts (minerals) must be lost. Do you know the exact numbers regarding these new rules (how many minerals are lost on which stage, what about different production types – is there any additional penalty when switching from unit to building for example)? I decided not to make further test playing my turn to not to loose all the minerals in all of my cities...

I wasn't even aware of that and I'd need to look for it in the kyrub's thread. Meanwhile, I would let you replay your turn if it was up to me - you had a right not to know it (I didn't) or not to notice it at the first glance (we barely pay attention to such things right now).

If you want, you can replay your turn now, upload both and everyone else will have a say if they agree to it.

Oh yes, now that would explain one strange thing I noticed during the last turn. Yeah, it seems I lost some production in all cities as well (I thought my eyes played tricks on me). Oh, thanks for the explanation, I feel better, if short of a few minerals. :)

I guess we are all surprised about new rules, so let's carry on without the reload – knowledge usually costs a lot, so I’m OK with my minerals paid for... :)

It is altogether fitting that we who have sailed the deeps of space now return again to the sea. This is in many ways a water planet, and it can be ruled from the waves. With sea power, rugged terrain can be bypassed and enemy strongholds isolated. Once naval superiority is achieved, Planet is ours for the taking.
