Did I read that correctly? John Hopkins University reports confirmed cases of Covid19 now exceeds 25,000,000 in the USA?
That's one out of thirteen citizens?

That said, we're around one ouf of eighteen over here.

25,713,893 as per the site I use today. Johns Hopkins is  a reliable source.
Glad you're feeling better, Geo.

On the personal/ anecdotal level-  Most of last year I knew I knew of only one person that likely had it. Until November. Then I started hearing about hospitalizations, a death, and I lost count of the people I knew who had symptoms or positive tests. Then there was me and my in-laws. As far as I know, everybody survived except for that one death.

I expect the USA to break the Spanish Flu records before it's controlled.

Momma had her second crows shot around noon yesterday.

I just caught her transferring firewood from the wheelbarrow and going for another load. ;nod

Firewood? Why? It's 60+F in your nick of the woods this time of year! ;belal
In 2015 at least...

Remember, full effect of the vaccin will take another week or two.

My sense of smell still sucks. I wonder if I'm I eating moldy food without realizing it.

Let us hope it won't last. At least you still have eyes to spot unwanted 'guests' on your food.

I did some research on the Covid associated loss of smell, because I wondered when I should become concerned.

Most people recover about 2 weeks after.
About 1/4 will recover 2 months after.
95% recover in 6 months or less.

So, if I still have impaired sense of smell in mid July, it's time to be concerned.

My last day of Covid was  January 11th, so a little longer.  I think I'm getting better, but it still isn't what it used to be. Fortunately I'm not a chef, wine maker, or a tea taster.

Well I wasn't dropping my pants in the middle of that crowd.

12+ hours later and my arm is letting me know it got a shot, and maybe some of the headache is related, but not exactly abnormal.

I will say the national guard gives shots a lot closer to the style of a vet than most nurses/doctors I've seen.  Kinda appreciated it to be honest.  It was mildly concerning to be in the wait to see if it's going to kill you after the shot area and witness someone having a severe reaction though.

Ouch!

Over here, the "High Health Council" has given a positive advise for the use of the AstraZeneca vaccin for people over 55. Its supposed to offer a boost to the vaccination program because the elder population are planned to receive their vaccin starting mid March, and the AstraZeneca vaccin was kind of designated to them. Another supposed boost is their advise to extend the time between first and second shots of the Pfizer vaccin from 3 weeks to a maximum of 35 days.

Its been 10 days after your injection, isn't it?
Hasn't the other DOX implored you to seek medical care by now?  ;wait
