I read the post in question 4-5 times before posting this.  It's my "truth-o-gram."

I appreciate what you do on this site, but don't feel like that gives you carte-blanche to tell others how to run their sites.

Your posting is prolific, to the point of inhibiting discussion because they interrupt threads.  Let me get on here and post my vague opinion in each thread, a good moderator would stifle that, it's obnoxious. 

I want to address something specifically because you insulted me.

So, the attempt to recruit for the Pond backfired spectacularly, and now I got an old newb burning up AC2 with fresh energy. [shrugs]  That’s playing longshots for you – but it means I only got one thing left in my sock before I give up on getting anything good to happen at WPC finally; a truth-o-gram addressed to the hypocrites who drove me away and then let a forum I’d sweated blood for years to build just die of neglect.  The rest of this post is addressed to staff, mod-level and above, (not any of my friends here whom I miss terribly and invite to come join a happy, live forum]).

Old newb?  I'm assuming me because nobody else posts like I do on here except you, although you are old and newbish.

Hypocrites who drove you away?  When you only post a couple of times a week and the one thread you follow is buried by inanity, when members who are using the site complain, good leadership makes changes, and if that means losing a PostCountGenerator so be it.

Friends you miss terribly?  I disagree.  If that were all it was you would have put up with the moderation and WPC.   Instead you jumped around, same issues with CGN, same issues with CFC, same issues with Apolyton.  Stirring up crap between site admins and trying to get an audience.  You're not upset because your missing friends, you're upset because nobody cares anymore, the audience is gone.  You're self-isolating, you divide forums in fantastic ways, but a forum needs people co-existing to have any prominence.

It was fun playing here, I'm glad that I found an appreciation for SMAC and that was solely your forum and the people posting in it (Mart et. al.) I may keep posting here in the AC sections of the site.  I hope more people keep joining and posting because you're a visible mod, and helpful. 

I want to see AC2 be successful, I also want to see WPC, Apolyton, CFC, and any other place civ-players hang out be successful. 

As to being 'ganged up on' I can promise nobody organized a "let's piss off BU" party.  One mod deleted the post, explained their reasoning (member reported it for trolling), said he'd reinstate it if anyone had a reason to leave it up, it was decided to let it remain soft-deleted.

Politics from other fora do not belong here.  If the two of you want to discuss matters from WPC or wherever, it's probably best to do so via PM, or on that site, or if necessary ask specific people to join in a PM discussion and moderate.

I won't disappear this of my own druthers according to policy that I have to be prepared to take much more static than I'll permit other members to have to.  It has to be that way, lest I become what I hate.

However, I'll certainly bow to the wishes on the membership if they don't like having this flame around.  That would be just, and also ironic.  So let me know - and not in &^%$#@! PMs, please.
