As of this afternoon, yes, the drought is technically 'over' as we hit 103% snowpack for the year to date.  However, it might not actually be truly over as right now that's essentially water potential, and if we dry up for the rest of winter, or it melts too quick in the spring, we don't actually retain enough for summer. 

It is looking good for staying at least average precipitation, however.  Melting...maybe not.

I need some of that aluminum mesh, probably.  But might make a plaster armature.

I've managed pretty good hands before on a twisted wire skeleton with spitwad/cellulose - I imagine that needed support during production than your clay does.  Longevity of the finished product could well be another matter, of course.
