Not yet - he'll post again when he's ready, no matter what I do.  I don't think he's mad at anyone - I just can't puzzle out why he keep lurking the front page, occasionally Rec Commons, but I haven't seen him look at a thread in a month.  I live here, and I see everything.

My experience with this beast of burden is the best thing is to sit it out quietly, and continue one's 'routines'. In the past (an) outside parameter(s) pulled me out of it.

That's pretty much my strategy in the spell I just began pulling out of - wait it out.  Recent years have taught me that it won't last more than six months...

That sounds awful, but I used to stay blue most of the time.

It's not exactly what you think, but it's easy to explain that way.  For now. 


Anywho. 

Tilled the garden today.  The pumpkin compost performed fantastically this year.  The garden's soil is night and day better than last spring, and the section that was looking terrible in the fall seems up to par.  I don't know if it was the fact we had generally larger pumpkins last year, the addition of our neighbor's leaves to our own, or the mild winter/wet spring allowing more action in the soil over the winter.  Or, maybe it's just the gradual buildup.  The thing was covered in grass just 2 years ago, hardly gardening material. 

Also got some italian heirloom tomatoes just sprouted in the house.  We've become rather addicted to my homemade tomato sauce, so going to be making TONS next year. 

Trying a bunch of flower seeds with Tali, but I don't have high hopes on some of them.  Half expecting some neighbor to think I'm trying to grow some more 'interesting' things indoors...

It is getting very hot where I live. This heat is unseasonably warm and potentially record breaking...

Water wise, it's really hard to judge how it's going to go this year.  Technically, we're at 100% snowpack in the mountains, but the rivers right now are running less than 50% of normal.  That could be from runoff being absorbed too high in the mountains or from them trying to fill up reservoirs upstream.  Part of the drought trouble last year was them draining one of the main dams to do some work on it.  While that work's not done, it should be able to hold a lot more water than it did last year.  All the upstream reservoirs are still down around 40%.
