Custom faction

Hi guys,

Sorry if this has been talked about a lot, I'm an old SMAC player and I loved custom editing/creating factions years ago. I've recently just been playing again and was looking for some old ones I had when I used to play that I had downloaded. I tried looking some up but most players all have the same ones which are great, however, I remember a few that I can't find anywhere, including a Dr.Evil one that I told a friend about and wnated to show him. Anyone know where they/it may be found?

I don't think I've ever see a Dr. Evil one, but look through the custom faction section on the wiki http://alphacentauri2.info/wiki/index.php

ete has an extensive collection hosted somewhere offsite, which I believe all have been verified to work.  Search for Ultimate Faction Pack to find the link.  If that doesn't turn up, there's a bunch here: http://alphacentauri2.info/index.php?action=downloads;cat=20 including one with about a million Network Node factions (that file's over the size limit, and you may have to download multiple times to get it).

This will be less of a problem after my next patch, by the way; most errors in the faction boni/mali will then result in the game complaining (much as it would for a bad tech key or the like) instead of just ignoring it.  (It still can't tell if you wrote SOCIAL, ++PROBE but +1 PROBE in the datalinks, though.)
