Hello!  I've stumbled onto Alpha Centauri 2 while looking for ways to update and successfully run SMAC and SMAX on a current cumputer.

As far as I'm concerned SMAC is the best pc strategy game ever made, but the graphics are outdated and I can't run SMAX at all, it just crashes.  Can someone tell me where to begin with the resources on this site, and guide me as to how to patch my original games?  It's all new and confusing to me, but I am very anxious to restore SMAC to playability, and if I can get fresh graphics and new content, so much the better!

Thanks for any help you can provide.
