Specialists do not work the base production radius to harness resources. Instead, they work inside the base, adding directly to the base’s Economy, Psych and Labs production:
- Doctor, +2 Psych
- Technician, +3 Economy
- Librarian, +3 Labs, requires Planetary Networks
- Empath, +2 Economy, +2 Psych, requires Centauri Meditation—replaces Doctors
- Engineer, +3 Economy, +2 Labs, requires Fusion Power—replaces Technicians
- Thinker, +1 Psych, +3 Labs, requires Mind/Machine Interface—replaces Librarians
- Transcend, +2 Economy, +2 Psych, +4 Labs, requires Secrets of Alpha Centauri—replaces Empaths
Technician / Engineer and Librarian / Thinker require a population of at least 5 in a city before they can be selected. Doctor / Empath / Transcend may be selected in cities even below 5 population.
