Terraforming units can plant fungus which destroys enhancements other than roads, mag tubes and thermal boreholes.

Using xenoagricultural techniques, fungus can be cultivated. Production from fungus squares increase with each Centauri technology you discover. Excluding Thermal Boreholes, any bonus resources or improvements on fungus will not increase production.
