Mylochka's been kind've sick all week, and not making a lot of progress on anything, including her job.  But when I just went out to tell her you'd posted at her, I caught her working with your textures, so there's that.  SHe had downloaded them earlier, and maybe something to report soon.

Well, tell her that she has my best wishes of getting better. I too have been feeling fairly ill, I had a abhorrid nosebleed a while ago. She's a tough trooper for sticking to it though, that's dedication.

She'll probably have something to report tonight, but I dunno how close she is to having something to show.

Sorry for the delay!  Here's the new texture for the jacket and the pants.  (this shot doesn't have the special cuffs on the jacket.)

Ooo... I like what I see. I also notice the dirt and grime on the shirt, how thoughtful  ;lol

Once you get the rolled up sleeves bit, I think that'll work just fine to be honest, for clothing.

Keep up the good work. I am thinking of a way to repay you for your efforts... perhaps a cameo/character in the story itself...

Exceptional work, Mylochka!

That's looking smart... I think its getting close to the point of being ready for the poster itself.

I'm looking at some old propaganda posters and copying poses from them to use with Vatzen.  I'm trying to recreate some stances like these.

It'll be good practice, but remember: Vazheli is trying to avoid Leninist depictions of him, or in other words, glorifying. He'd be more focused on appearing humble, on an equal level to his followers and not too grandiose. He's a politician like every other AC leader, but his ploy is that he's cut from the same cloth everyone else, not above it.

Okay.  I'm trying to keep that balance in mind.

I tried several poses on the figure that I already had in my runtime, but instead of looking strong and determined, they tended to make him look like he was trying to imitate high fashion male models... and the male model look looks pretty ridiculous on Vatzen...

Well with poses to practice with, go with salutes or have him working an industrial style job, or fighting. Avoid "heroic" poses, as that's not what he does normally. He avoids grandiose leader syndrome and prefers to appear as a humble working man, or a grim bad ass. Having him fighting, rugged and bloody fights, would be a very suiting situation for him. Vazheli is the type of guy, per say if there was a battle, Vazheli is the type of guy with a knife in his one hand and pistol in the other, and he'd get extremely aggressive with attackers. Or he'd be the guy swinging from the ropes, knife clenched in his teeth and a pistol in hand, guns blazing. He's a roughneck sort of guy and he's not afraid to get down and dirty when it comes to combat, he actually prefers being close to the fighting. He wants the image of being on the same level as his followers and being there with them in their hardships, as opposed to "glorious leader who makes brilliant decisions" he's more of "Down and dirty man who's there alongside you" sort of thing.

Edit: And while he does use that notion for an image, the whole working man/down and dirty fighter who isn't afraid of a bit of grime, it isn't far from the truth. Vazheli, in the AAR actually was working right on the frontline command post, you could even hear and feel the weaponry going off outside. He's the type of leader who hates desk jobs and prefers to be right in the action, and a man who highly dislikes bureaucracy. When the Crimson Comrades were fighting the Usurpers and their leader,  ;marr; , it wasn't uncommon to see Vazheli actually fighting in some way. Vazheli lost his eye actually via combat, he was fighting a Usurper, who he managed to injure and disarm, and the during the resulting mandible+knife fight that ensued, an artillery round came down not too far and Vazheli managed to avoid the blast by gutting the Progenitor with his knife and using him as a literal flesh shield against the shrapnel, but during the process his eye got literally ripped out.

So just by how he lost his eye is a sign of what he's like.

Oh, I can definitely work with those images.  By the way, what kind of weapon does he carry?  ... or should I say "weapons"?
