Well, I would sure like to see all that science and exploration happen - and there's an inspirational value to space exploration that people don't talk about much in the States, but it's real and it's HUGE.

I haven't been able to walk outside and look up at something in the sky and think "there's people walking around there right now" since I was a little kid.  It was really awesome to do and think that, and I miss it a lot.  Dreams matter.
Which is why realizing them is so monumentally pivoting to not only our progress, but our psyche.

I want the FUTURE!  I want the STARS!

What's wrong with the government that they keep penny-pinching our future?

Democracy, where people get the government they deserve.  :\  And people are stupid.  :(

Perhaps it will take some epic global crisis for a group of nations to band together and send a colony ship to a nearby star.
Your agonizer, please.

Huh.  I was here 10 years ago, and people ARE stupid, and I doubt a crisis will do the trick.

What about a trick to do the trick? Maybe get a puppet stick and shove it up- oh wait, that's already done.

Maybe the Americans may have issues going into space, but there is people still pursuing it. My country's space program is still alive and kicking, despite some setbacks.

Maybe I might even be alive for that dirty red revolution on Mars. One can dream...  :danc:

Give it time, and money.

If you need to get money, here is a step by step process.

1. Chop down a tree and construct a battering ram.
2. Hire a bunch of angry viking raiders and pillage your local perfume shop.
3. ????
4.Profit.
