Random crap with Uno.
Buster's Uncle:
Did that start as early as the late 80s? Of course, it didn't last near as long as the Outer Limits revival, very much the same thing if less faithful to the original. THAT I'm sure of as big in cable/syndication mid-90s, in those Action Pack, Hercules/Xena, Babylon 5, Renegade days...
Unorthodox:
Yeah, I think the twilight zone was mid 80s to early 90s.
I also liked the outer limits revival, but it was FAR more uneven. I especially liked that the special effects never looked beyond anything I could do at home.
Buster's Uncle:
OG Zone was a much more even -and better- show.
OG Limits was monster of the week -right lame, that- though the 1st season closing music, and credits over astronomy photos, that STILL gets to me.
Unorthodox:
I believe I've mentioned before how Talia likes the treasure hunting shows. Our favorite one isn't on any longer, and Oak Island is still a staple in the house...
But the new one that come out Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch is based in Utah and mostly implying that they are looking for the Rhodes mines.
I was willing to look past the blatantly planted 'finds'.
I was willing to look past the constant suggestion of Alien activity because the folks in that town legitimately believe that.
I was willing to look past the vastly over-dramatized moments of 'danger'.
BUT I ABSOLUTELY DRAW THE LINE WHEN THEY GET A FREAKING "EXPERT" TO TELL LIES ABOUT HORSE FLY LARVA.
Unorthodox:
So...I'm a huge fan of both these...

...But there's no reason any version of Kong we've ever seen has any business being on the battlefield with Godzilla.
That said, if this is still around in theaters whenever covid ends, I would totally go to it.
