Greetings fellow SMACheads.

I'm from the UK, now living in Australia.  Been playing SMAC/X for over a decade now, most recently at the level before transcendi.

If you put a chaos gun to my head, I'd probably say I like playing the Gaians best, but also thoroughly enjoy being the Consciousness and the Believers.  I find my arse is kicked by the Hive and the ridiculously imbalanced Usurper.

I think I'm using Scient's patch - very warm to suggestions of other patches and art sets.  And if anyone knows a way of being able to randomly select the opponets - but leave out the Hive and Ursurpers - would be brilliant if someone knows an easy fix.

The only sure way I know to remove ;marr; and ;yang; from the random picks is to put 2 other factions in their slots in the alphax.txt file.
