Aeson's playing his first game of Alien Crossfire -and first of any kind of AC in many many years- on transcend as the Consciousness, and making an AAR of it.  I intend to cheer if he wins and laugh uproariously and mercilessly if trying for the first time on transcend kicks his butt as I suspect it will.

Gotta admire the man's guts to do that and make a public show of it.  Let's go watch...

Easy to burn out on those. Forum AARs are a ton of work.

If he is an admin over at 'poly I would assume he has a decent amount of 4x experience. That does count for something even on other 4x games that are different.

Also, I believe Transcend in SMAX (GoG non modded) is not quite as brutal as say, Civ 4/5 on Deity. He should do okay.

He looks to remember plenty - he's playing directed research and remembers the techs.  He may well do okay indeed.
