Title: April 2014 - just how many of us are still around?

Can't help but notice that right now we've got only one game with 5 players active. Guys, how many of your games are open & dead and conversely, how many players besides our five in Rising Sun are out there and could join a game, either a fresh one or as a replacement? I hope right now we're just experiencing a temporary low tide, but it wouldn't hurt to do a head count. And do we have any CMNs left? I wanted to start another game soon, only to realize there'd be probably noone to set it up...

The guys on the PM I did the other day are all the full CMNs I know of here except Darsnan.  EM and ete are trainees, but not really available ATM, or I'd have included them.

I am still around and might be willing to join a game. If the game is PBEM, then someone would need to explain how it works.

A game where I subbed fof EM I thknk came to a grinding halt. Turn hasn't progressed since last yeqr I think.

The sole idea (to do a head count) is indeed painless, but I’m nearly sure that the result will hurt...

One thing is, you don't need mod powers or a CMN badge to take initiative and diplomatically remind your opponents that you're waiting...

The Mcave can only get as dusty as the MPlayers allow.

@ BUncle - great to hear that about the guys, I'm a CMN trainee myself but these days I don't exactly have time and mind to prepare games. Well, at least not on short notice.

@ Yitzi - you mean you play or want to join MP?

@ Dio - I believe there will be vacancies for you, although in some games the situation may not be that easy. But if enough players gather around, I'll consider and try to do a game for you - I hope I can get some pre-made map from Mart or someone.

@ Geo - great you're around, I remember you as a committed player and would welcome you onboard. Can you point me to the game that is currently down? I can take over the replacement myself if other players are still up to it.

Yeah, as BU said it; maybe we can pool our resources and fill in some vacancies; I have no idea how to bring in new players, but the chance is higher if they see something is going on around.

People come and go no matter how well things are going, but they come back sooner if there's activity and friends trying to stay in touch.  And absolutely true about drawing newbs - the less a forum looks like it needs them, the more likely they are to sign up.

I didn't build this place by myself; it's all, always, depended on recruiting others into the effort.

We can do it.

I am out of the hospital now and would like to either pick up my old position in a game or start a new game.  Not sure how many people are available, but I would like to get back into a game.

There may be some vacancies left by other people, I don't know if you're interested in that. If you want to resume your previous game, talk to Geo if that 'surprise world' is worth continuing; I can replace one of the players. As for a new game - well, I'd like to join myself, so we need a CMN. But if we don't find any, I can make a game (my first one, so flaws are to be expected) for the players who show up.

We've also got those LMS games suspended, but right now it's still only two of us. It'd be great to pick them up!

I'd say I would:
-  prefer SMAC over SMAX
- appreciate some interesting scenario
- and why not pick up the ideas behind our Waterworld game and give them a new flesh?

Im back!
After more than a year with a new girl an working an a place where you work 24/7 (literally), I discovered money is not the only thing that count and left to my prior job, so now I have some time again.
