Title: Audio assistance needed.
Post by: Unorthodox on October 10, 2013, 07:35:30 PM
So, I have this complete works of Edgar Allan Poe on audiobook here...but it's all one big file.

How would one go about segregating it into individual tracks for each story?  Kinda baffled the thing didn't come that way, honestly.

Could you pop this thread again this weekend? I faintly remember seeing a video converter capable of greating parts of movie files. Maybe it works for audio files as well (if I can find the program back that is).

To be specific it was an Itunes purchase, so might have to convertify it to something manageable first.

I recall having something on the old computer that would chop up MP3's.

If I could convert it into something useable and find a midi cable, I could throw the thing onto my keyboard (the instrument) and edit it on that thing...wonder what format that thing reads...

Yeah, good chance this tool doesn't know what to do with iTune files.

You could always get a free sound recording program that records sounds on your computer, and play the audiotrack and hit stop at certain points, just record different segments.
