As he said, there's a link at the top of the page, but this entire forum is for talking to fellow SMACers.

Any chance it can be made sure that it is combined with Kyrubs AI work like SMAX patch plus is?

The scient-ifficPatch?  I'll pass that along.

Oh yes... I forgot to mention...

 :danc:!!!14 FACTION GOODNESS!!! :danc: ;aki; ;caretake; ;cha; ;deidre; ;domai; ;lal; ;marr; ;miriam; ;morgan; ;roze; ;santi; ;ulrik; ;yang; ;zak;

/beg... um.. please?

He said he was contemplating it. Taking care of that would solve the biggest bug of the game. That is, if it would not suck out his soul and time too much.

scient sez he's definitely interested in that first thing.  The 14 factions isn't going to happen before he's fixed all the bugs everyone can find, I assume.

I have read through most of the list of bugs, and I think he got a lot covered.

Now, there are AI issues still with crawlers and boreholes and sometimes a spore launcher shutting down a faction. But, that was more of Kyrubs experiment it seems. But, Kyrub's work really does improve matters. As I mentioned earlier, I hope any new patch would not overwrite that or at least improve on that work.

There was an issue I saw personally where planes where not refueling if you pressed "H" to hold them. But, the workaround I found was to press SPACE to pass turn. Then, they are refueled.

Other than that, with 14 factions either of your choice or SMAX, think of the possibilities... even for modders like Chuft of Kilkolon (sp). After that, the game would be near perfect. I want a large epic map, abundant lifeforms, 14 factions. Oh, god... starting next to aliens would suck, though. Those guys expand like roaches.
