Title: Can't Start New Game with Yitzi's unofficial SMAX patch 2.0

Is anyone having problems starting a new game with Yitzi's 2.0 patch? I can only do a "Quick Start". If I start a game using the normal method, e.g. choose rules, choose faction, I never get to the faction selection screen. At the faction selection screen, only the quote shows up, but I have no options to select/change faction...

There is another report here http://alphacentauri2.info/index.php?topic=3461.0 (http://alphacentauri2.info/index.php?topic=3461.0) but that one has yet to be resolved and you've posted in a more appropriate place.  Do what Yitzi asked the other fellow to do, and welcome to AC2, BTW.
