How long do you estimate it all taking?

I don't know what an unmanaged VPS is.

So no idea whether we're talking closer to an hour or a week?

Folks, I just want to point out that the annoyance of this upgrade is far superior to putting up with an administration that doesn't bother to keep the forum running right.  We're very annoyed, too, but performance of things like page loading have been spotty and bad lately.  This will hopefully fix it.

ok. most of the plugins are now installed. we should have most of our functionalities back.

i guess it was a good decission to keep the forums running last night (GMT) as i see there was a lot of activity. ;b;
also, we gained back most of the lost performance, so i think it was worth the effort.

sorry again for any inconvenience the upgrade might have caused you and enjoy your staying on our boards!

For me the forum doesn't show proper layout in Firefox, though it looks OK in Iron (and was OK last night).

E.g., instead of going across, these are bulleted, underlined as a link, and go top to bottom:

*Home
*Forum
*Help, etc.

Huh.  That sounds a little like what you get when you save a page on a forum and view it offline.

It didn't do that before and you're getting it constantly in Firefox now?

Yeah, just started.  Last night couldn't get into profile, can now, but with odd format.

I couldn't get into anyone's profile all day yesterday, which drove me a little nuts when a stranger signed up, and the Mighty BotSlayer couldn't go sniff.

However, all is normal for me, now, (including format) and he smells human.

have you tried refreshing with CTRL+F5? if that doesn't work, you should try flushing your DNS: run -> cmd -> ipconfig /flushdns

I had not tried ctrl + F5 - it worked.  ;b;
