Title: May or may not be of interest

I have the GOG Planetary pack but I also have some disc versions of SMAC/X. I’ve read several places where people are claiming that the Sold Out Software disc version (2009 version) is Securom protected. I don’t know if there are US and UK versions of that particular package but the one I have is not Securom protected. I’ve checked this in different protection software and it detects no Securom but just Safedisc protection. Only the SMACX cd contains Safedisc. Running Securom Removal Tool also don’t detect any traces of Securom on my computer after both discs are installed. There’s also no traces of Securom in the computer registry.

This is probably redundant information but I thought it might be interesting for someone thinking of using the SOS SMACX disc version (2009). Maybe Securom only applies to version sold in the US(?)
