So, if you're in the US and suddenly seeing the time on posts an hour late, Profile>Look and Layout>Time Offset should be, for example, -4 for the correct DST on the east coast.

Since DST is in effect now, you should be up already. :P

I've been on board default for some time now.  For instance, it's already afternoon instead of morning.
