Title: Singularity Laser combat sounds never play

Hello,

didn't find my issue listed already under known bugs, so I'd like to ask about the status of a sound bug. The problem is that during combat of units with the Singularity Laser (24 attack), the weapon sound effect will never play.
Regardless of the unit dealing damage with, or receiving damage from the Singularity Laser, no weapon specific sounds will play.

Is there already something known along that line? It's something that has been bothering me for quite a while now.

Description: Five of the sound files will quit working for players with SMAX 2.0.  That's because Firaxis encoded them as stereo files, and 2.0 will only work properly with mono files.
Placing these reencoded WAV files in the FX folder will fix the problem.

Things can be elusive sometimes.
I had to look on my own PC to find the filename before I could find it here :)
It is almost 4 years ago.
