ooo...

Ok, so it would be a tough choice between them and the Aztecs as my favorite.  Double the horsies is SOOO tempting.

And not needing horses to build, too...

Hey UnO, did you see the Mercenary Civic on the Civic Tree?

No, I didn't go through those two trees.  I've never been able to really read the tech trees, just not how my brain processes the info.

Thanks, Nik.  -I was wearing shoes and getting bled at the doctor's office at time for this to release, in my own defense, but you win this time. ;)

I like the queen's armor, even though it's probably bull...

Just looks like a rather random name than anything meaningful.

VERY few games capture mercenaries well, though.

I guess we're not supposed to notice the kurgan doesn't look like a kurgan?

...I guess that could be a burial mound under the monument.  I see a tombish entrance...

But Cromlechs (the what appears to be a passage tomb underneath) are more suited to western Europe, and Menhir (standing stone) especially.

I could get behind the Cromlech portion (typically smaller brickwork in a kurgan, but whatever), and forgive the rings of stones (mostly up into Russia the ones that had that, though others had brick walls), but that megalithic stone on top is either so out of place as to be jarring or I need to read up a lot more on tombs of the steppes.

Is it possible that it was ever common practice to pull down the markers of buried enemies, I wonder?

I've not studied the Kurgan as in depth as some others since there's not a lot of prop buildering potential in a giant mound of dirt, but it certainly would have caught my attention when studying megalithic stone works for upcoming plans if any kind of large stone markers were common.  If such a stone would be pulled down, I'd suspect there'd be some kind of evidence of it.

There ought to be, yes, even if you drug it back to camp and set it up to steal the enemy's power...

This one sounds insanely overpowered. Intersting at least. I've heard of these people.

It ought to prove an early-game threat, yes.

This is the first time I've heard of the Scythians in any civ game. I'm curious if they have their allies the Parthians in the game.
Though I doubt it. Rivals to the Romans then moved to Europe and became the Germanic tribes.
