Title: 256 unit bug

I know this bug has already been discussed, but I wanted to bring it up again to see if anything could be done about it.

In a recent game, I built a large army of infantry of the same type.  Upon building the 256th unit of that type, my Military score crashed to near-0 on the Faction Superiority list and graph; as I continued to build more units of that type the list recovered but the graph did not.
The display issues wouldn't be a huge problem, but the other problem is all other factions decided to attack me when my Military score crashed, because they thought I no longer had military superiority.  So the bug had the effect of causing poor AI decisions.

This was in SMAX with scient's patch.  Perhaps it's already been fixed in Yitzi's?
