Title: Nudist Restaurants
Post by: Bearu on July 21, 2016, 04:57:24 PM
I heard in April of a nude restaurant in London that planned to begin business in June. The current wait list, last I heard, was around 150,000 people for the restaurant. What do you think about a trend of clothing optional restaurants?
I recognize the presence of nudist resorts with the nudist restaurants, but the incorporation of a nudist restaurant outside a resort remains a novelty. The whole concept brings into mind the Sky Farm club from New Jersey that began in the 1930's.

I remain supportive of the right of people to behave in any non-disruptive manner on private property with the permission of the owner. If the restaurant caters towards the nudist group, than I would not complain while the restaurant functions in a respectable manner.

THAT is a very intelligent first response, though I voted "Blech..." for lack of an "Eewww" option.

Generally, I don't really mind nudity. Not that I'm a nudist, I'm sun sensitive. I'm also a kind of a disease prevention guy.

But as a frequent diner, I experienced views of but cracks from the era of low hanging pants which are burned into my brain. They did not enhance my dining experience.

Nude beaches and bars I can understand. Nude lunch counters and grocery stores, not so much.

For people who like the thought of possibly spilling hot food or beverages on their completely unprotected genitals?  Or sharing parasites and pubic hairs with every person who has sat in your booth over the past twelve hours?

I do believe this thread is in danger of turning vulgar, even though no one's mentioned the skidmarks on the seats yet.

A standard of courtesy in many nudist communities involves the placement of your own cover or towel on a seat before you sit on the seat.

So, I've thought on it some.

Say it's a michelin star restaurant best thing in town you just HAVE to try type restaurant.  I would not let the clothing optional nature deter me from going.

Say it's a chain restaurant level of cuisine.  I'd opt for other options for more pleasing atmosphere.

The poll really needs to be multiple choice. No, I would not consider eating in such a place, and my opinion of the whole idea is "Blech."

Even my cats don't eat in the nude (they both wear collars).

Broccoli is a Frog Pond thing, because Metaliturtle.  Here, we have several dancing whatnots, but our best equivalent -maybe- for the banana poll option is Dancing Brother Lal, as seen over the message field on the Reply page.

-Wouldn't mind keeping that tradition for less serious-topic polls here, I guess.   :danc: :bot: ;buttdance ;hippy
