I'm afraid this was not a PRACX bug, but rather part of my patch, apparently dating back to 2.0.  I've fixed it, and as soon as I've tested and debugged the piece I'm currently working on (moddable number of worms from fungal pops) and done things like version number updates, I'll post the fixed version.

Welcome back, ete :)

Where have you been!? Up to anything exciting?

Okay, thanks! Is there something I can do in editor as a workaround which will allow me to continue this game in the meantime?

Hi!

I'm not really back, just taking a break from current projects to play a couple of games of AC and hit a crash. I've been lots of interesting places, including San Francisco for a fellowship (http://rationality.org/miri-summer-fellows-2015/) on AI alignment, and conferences in Oxford and Cambridge on Effective Altruism and Decision Theory. I kinda decided to prioritize trying to fix a few of the most concerningly broken parts of civilization (education, coordination among people trying to fix things, and existential risk reduction are my three top areas)/increase the chances that the future will contain sentient life and other things I value, so probably won't be back here much until that's done. It may take a while, and maybe I'll pop by, but I probably won't focus on projects here for at least a few years.

Glad to hear you're working on something you care about. Seems ambitious to finish in just a few years, though!

If you have the time, I'd be interested to read how you're going about trying to fix these problems.

Search for the byte pattern E8 BB 97 FF FF 0F BF 05 42 97 94 00 83 C4 18 0F AF 45 E4.
Right after it should be EB 16 and then a whole bunch of 90s.

Rewrite that with 89 C1 85 C9 75 01 41 (overwriting five of the 90s).

Yea, don't actually expect to be done in the near future, was meant as lighthearted hope :). I may post a summary of what I've been up to at some point, though probably not super soon, and most of the details are things which I'd not post in public at this stage, though happy to discuss most in PMs/facebook messages.

Cool, thanks!
