"Donald [Sleezebag], Confident Odds Are in His Favor in Wisconsin, Wants John Kasich Out
By JOHN SANTUCCI
MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin — Apr 3, 2016, 5:22 PM ET

GOP frontrunner Donald [Sleezebag] made an early morning stop today at Miss Katie's diner –- a frequent spot for presidential candidates -– in downtown Milwaukee, where in addition to his eggs and hot chocolate his other order was for John Kasich to leave the race.

"Kasich shouldn't be allowed to run. Look, under the grounds that Rand Paul could've stayed in, and he had nothing. Marco Rubio could've stayed in. Jeb Bush could've stayed in. They all could've stayed. They could’ve just stayed in. That’s all he's doing. He's 1-for-29. And the one thing that he won barely, and if I spent one more day in Ohio, I would've beaten him," [Sleezebag] told a small group of reporters that accompanied him on this trip.

Although his numbers are a bit off –- 32 states have voted –- [Sleezebag] was pointing to the Ohio governor’s sole win of his home state thus far as an unclear path to the nomination, versus [Sleezebag] who has won a majority of the contests held thus far.

Last week, [Sleezebag] met with RNC officials in Washington about the state of the party and the course to the nomination. As part of that meeting, [Sleezebag] says he raised his concerns regarding Kasich.

"I said, why is a guy allowed to run, all he's doing is he goes from place to place and loses and he keeps running," [Sleezebag] said.

[Sleezebag] later added he felt Kasich was taking away potential voters that would be supporting him over Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.

Kasich's campaign responded via Twitter that he has no intention of dropping out of the race.

"That's not how our republic works, Donald. We'll keep fighting until someone reaches a majority of delegates," the campaign's tweet said.

Kasich spokesman Chris Schrimpf also released a statement suggesting that [Sleezebag] drop out.

"Ted Cruz also has no possibility of accumulating enough delegates and [Sleezebag] also will not receive a majority of delegates before the convention," the statement said. "Since he thinks it's such a good idea, we look forward to [Sleezebag] dropping out before the convention. [Sleezebag] living up to his own self-declared standard is best for the Party since he will lose the White House by a historic margin to Hillary Clinton and also cause Republicans to lose control of the Senate. It also shows that we are his strongest competition after Wisconsin."

Polls in Wisconsin have been tight over the last several weeks between the Cruz, Texas freshman senator, and the New York billionaire. In the last few days of campaigning around the state, [Sleezebag] has sounded more and more optimistic about his chances come Tuesday.

"It feels very much like New Hampshire to me, where we started off where, you know, [Sleezebag] wasn't going to win New Hampshire, and then all of the sudden we win in a landslide," [Sleezebag] said referring to his double-digit win in the granite state back in February. "I could feel it with the people. I can feel it with the people in Wisconsin."

This has been [Sleezebag]’s first full week back on the trail since taking a week off around the Easter Holiday. One reporter asked [Sleezebag] how he felt over the eight-day stretch.

"I was so bored during the eight-day break," [Sleezebag] said. "I'll be honest. I was so bored. No, I love doing it. I'm having a good time."  "

I think one of us is in Wisconsin, and the other is in a state of insanity.  [Sleezebag] had a double digit defeat against a sitting governor in Ohio.  You don't close a gap like that against a tough and established opponent in one day. [Sleezebag] will not win here either. He might get shut out of the delegates altogether.

I'm reserving my vote until the results are in, due to my lack of objectivity.

***********************************************
On the Democratic side, city voting appears white, which should benefit Bernie. Voting is steady, but same day registration is really backed up, and that also appears white, and younger than usual.

Outside the city and around the state, it's looking like a possible record primary turnout, with steady voting all day.

It has started to sleet. Whether or not this is a symptom of hell freezing over remains to be seen.

according to CNN, 26% of Republican voters decided recently.

Amazing! Well I suppose that those who switched away from The Leader since his disastrous radio interview, his comments across the spectrum on abortion, and his comments about nuclear arms proliferation was the greatest threat, and he thinks more countries should get their own nukes so that we don't have to defend them anymore, could be counted in the 26%.

CNN just called it in favor of Cruz with 6% counted.

If I thought Cruz might win, I wouldn't be nearly so pleased.

If I thought Cruz might win, I wouldn't be nearly so pleased.

I understand. If I have to rank the final five it's Kasich/Sanders/Clinton/Cruz/[Sleezebag]. It pains me greatly to have to vote for him.

Essentially this is the Romney/#Never [Sleezebag] strategy at work. Whatever denies The Leader the most delegates. In my congressional district, Cruz had a better shot at defeating [Sleezebag], and denying him 3 delegates. As I put phrased it to my wife- " We can't drive a stake through [Sleezebag]'s heart, but if we put one through his foot he'll have a hard time finishing the race."

If [Sleezebag] swept here, he'd be on his way to locking down the nomination before the convention. If he swept herein spite of everything he's done and said, I would have doubts about even Hillary's ability to stop him, because it would prove facts don't apply to his campaign....Probably because there's been a profound lack of journalism.

Anyway, I'll be watching to see if [Sleezebag] gets held to two Congressional districts or less.

with 46% counted-

Cruz 51%/[Sleezebag] 32%/Kasich 14%

Bernie 55% / Hillary 45%

Someday, SOMEday, the GOP will run a presidential ticket without a lightweight on it again - betcha it's not a day THIS year, though.

Adapt or die.

While they were waiting for actual hard numbers tonight, they were sharing polls that said essentially
3 in 10 Republicans would vote 3rd party or stay home if Cruz were the nominee, and 4 in 10 if [Sleezebag] were.

I'm still hoping that we'll get some shake-out in party membership.

Maybe the Bernie or Bust bunch will go Green

Maybe the Cruz Crowd will go Constitutional Party.

Maybe the others will jump Libertarian.

Here's one for you. One politician said these things. Who was he?

Quotes
"I start with the premise that the function of leadership is to produce more leaders, not more followers."

"Your best teacher is your last mistake."

"There can be no daily democracy without daily citizenship."

Ralph Nader. Nice words.

Okay. Delegates are breaking like this-   Cruz-33 [Sleezebag]-3 Kasich-0 . There are two congressional districts still too close to call. 3 delegates each, will go to either Cruz or [Sleezebag]. Likely a spit.

Probably 36 to 6 in favor of Cruz.

I'm going to cast my vote for The Donald as the delusional one. He's the landslide victim here.

The tv people are trying to paint this as a talk radio victory, but that's misleading. True, there are a number of conservative radio hosts originating in what became the Cruz corridor. One of them even guest hosts for Rush Limbaugh. That doesn't mean that the Wisconsin talk radio is like national talk radio. It's more issue/policy driven discussion and less ridiculing sound bytes. In a way, it's like NPR for state and local issues. It's a result of frequent bitter battles over Act 10. On that front, the GOP judge was re-elected to the State Supreme Court tonight.

The articles say that the best predictor of a [Sleezebag] voter is somebody who feels they don't have a voice. Wisconsin Republican voters are informed, engaged, and issue driven, and The Donald is pretty shallow when it comes to that. Wisconsin Democratic voters are more city machine/ union driven.

My hope is that journalists will follow commentator Charlie Sykes' and Chris Matthew's lead. Call [Sleezebag] on his crap. Ask him follow up questions when he tries to change the subject. Pin him down on policy. Don't accept sound bytes.

Current delegate count 36 Cruz, 3 [Sleezebag], 3 could go either way.

One county split the popular vote at 2,822 each. There could be a recount in the remaining district. It's pretty close.

In any event, the talk has shifted to a probable open convention. It doesn't look like [Sleezebag] will seal the deal before then. Cruz is talking in terms of winning both ways, before the convention and on the floor.

If [Sleezebag] is the dealmaker he claims to be, he should be able to manage the convention from spitting distance.  If not, Dump Tronald!

As one of the articles said [Sleezebag] has peaked, Look out below!

You know, the very premise of this thread is highly questionable - it assumes a single word out of his mouth since summer wasn't a lie...

Uh, yeah.

Well, there's the Bernie thing. When he spouts misinformation, it's not a lie if he truly believes it too.
So maybe The Donald sincerely believes that only he can bring peace to the middles east and solve the world's problems, because nobody loves America more, and there's nobody America loves more than The Donald. Hence my use of the term Delusional.

So. T rump had disappeared for a while. CNN was saying T rump was going to make a public appearance and a major announcement. Well, it just seemed to be the usual T rump stump speech, only more rambling. I am grateful I don't have to diagram his sentences. To CNN's credit, they dropped the sound feed on the live coverage and went to their panelists when it proved to be a T rump bait and switch, and not breaking news.

First the Chris Mathews T rump Town Hall, and now this. I smell actual journalism!

NBC exit polls showed "Deep anxiety and even fear about [Sleezebag]" " Scared and Concerned" " 36% of Republicans would stay home, vote for Hillary, or vote for a 3rd party if [Sleezebag] were the nominee"

Not so different from CNN's data.

It was really getting to me when I began this thread. I couldn't reconcile his reality with mine.

Even so, my reality is rather surreal-

The Democrats are running a multi-millionaire Republicrat NeoCon ( with $1/4 million speaking fees from Goldman Sachs ) vs. a New Deal Socialist that hates Wall Street bankers.

The Republicans are running-

a) A Governor with a proven record of fiscal responsibility and making both state and federal government work ( who used to work for Goldman Sachs ) and only needs 125% of the remaining delegates to secure the nomination.

b) A freshman Senator who couldn't get an endorsement from a single colleague ( whose wife works for Goldman Sachs ) and his passion is shutting down the government.

c) A vindictive NY real estate Billionaire Egomaniac with ADD ( who may have friends at Goldman Sachs - I have no idea ) whose supporters seem intent on burning down the party or even the government because they are mad as heck and aren't going to take it anymore.

Whatever the outcome of the election, Goldman Sachs probably stands to benefit.

What appalls me isn't that the Pig is out there being a pig, y'know -bad apples are inevitable in so many bushels- it's that ANYone ever covered his desperate look-at-me publicity stunt as if it was a real campaign.

I thought the presence of [Sleezebag] in the presidential campaign reflects the degradation of morality in our society among media and journalists.

Stupid is as stupid does. I know several people that lack adequate knowledge to recognize the fallacy of supporting the Pig for president.

Well, stupid and ignorant aren't the same thing, but they're related - it's stupid to remain ignorant.
