Title: When will you see the new Star Wars?

4 days till it's wide release.

The buzz...is kinda annoying.  Even for this fanboy.

All anyone under 50 talks about at work...

We might go see it the week after Christmas.  Give it a few weeks to simmer down a bit.

I don't know that I will. I'm waiting for my sister to see it, and advise me. I'm trying not to get my hopes up so that my expectations don't get in the way of my potential enjoyment. The series started with back to back epics, and it hasn't lived up to that standard.  I guess I'm still suffering from Jar-Jar Binks syndrome. I don't want to see anything I can't unsee.

Maybe they can adequately explain why they're fighting the Empire again, and not ruling it. That's another qualifier.

To be fair, it never really made sense that the battle of endor would have ended the empire.  The imperial fleet was still much larger and better armed than the rebels.  Still, it must be addressed, you are right.  That's why I want to see the opening crawl.

Somehow I just can't get enthusiastic about it. I watched A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back and that was it. Didn't keep up.

It will turn up on Netflix some day, and that's good enough for me.
