Title: How to record Alpha Centauri without an external capture card.

I have had to do tons of research lately on some of the hobbies I have. It puts my blog experiment behind, but I have inadvertently figured out the answer to a question that has been asked on forums for a decade.

Here's how. Note: I have not done this with older notebook graphics cards which have the resolution colors bug.

STEP ONE: Get OBS. It is open source broadcast software that is free and used mostly for Twitch TV streams. Previous popular programs like Fraps do not seem to like older games.

STEP TWO: Set a profile name.

STEP THREE: This is the confusing part I messed up with at first. There is on box on the main screen of OBS called "source".  Put in there and check the box.

STEP FOUR: Press Record, then start up SMAC/X.

NOTE: Make sure the resolution is set right, or it will be off. I have also noticed tabbing out while running OBS can crash either OBS or Terranx.
