"Woordfront" recalls the emotions of 1915

18/04/15 - The West-Flemish city of Tielt is staging a major event to mark the first gas attacks in the First World War: Woordfront (Frontline of words) will see four groups of people march to the central market square. Poems and texts will recall the emotions of that time, April 1915. At least 1,150 people died as a direct result of the poison gas attacks, which is why Woordfront wanted to see at least the same number of volunteers participate, but this was no problem.

In the (Flemish) news one of the volunteers was interviewed. An Australian whom's grandfather survived three gas attacks.
