I hate to be a bummer, but I've hit another bug. Double post for attention grab!

Use that hold-click go zoom thing for the Tactical Needlejet from Aid Station to Rho. Instant crash.

Edit: For that matter, moving anywhere near Gaia's Landing seems to upset the game! :D

Also, there's a question on Facebook about Mac compatibility.  Do you know?

Ok, I'll check it out.

This will be the same as Mac compatibility for Scient's patch, to which I'm pretty sure the answer is no.

Flygon: Your bug shows up even in Kyrub's version, and I suspect even in the original, so as such it isn't as high a priority as one that I introduced.  Meaning I still plan to fix it, but it might not be until 3.2.

Also, one more note for patch 3.1c: While not documented until 3.2, there is now a new optional drones rule: Drones rule number 32 says that psych-boosting facilities will also boost Lal's drones (in particular, the formula will, instead of pop/4 rounded up, be popXpsychMultiplier/4, rounded up.)

They're using an outdated alphax.txt.  They need to use the one from patch 3.1 (with any appropriate mods), or at least make sure that they have the same lines as it.

I'll pass that along...

Flygon: Your savegame seems to have gotten corrupted somehow, as a lot of bases (including all of Zak's) have coordinates that aren't on the map (University Base, for example has moved from 1,117 in the first save to -1310,109), and that messes up the go-to pathfinding algorithm.  While it might be possible to fix the savegame, it's probably better just to load from the earlier savegame and play through again.  (If it gets corrupted again, you can give me a savegame with instructions as to how to make bases disappear and/or move around, and then I can investigate that, but I suspect that won't happen.)

Interesting... I had something very much like that going on in the three 3.1c games I tried: Bases disappearing completely and leaving their units on the map, and soon a crash. It wouldn't go away with reloading autosaves, but it didn't always happen after the same action or even on the same turn. I would start a new game and have the same thing happen not too far in. Ultimately I reinstalled the game and 2.5j. I had not a single crash from when 2.5j was first available, and the game is stable now.

Sounds like there is a bug in 3.1c responsible for the issue; if you (or anyone else) can play 3.1c and give me the savegame before it happens and instructions to replicate (when you say it wouldn't go away with reloading autosaves, I assume that means that doing the same thing would result in the same bug), I can probably find and fix the problem.

Ok, I found it.  3.1d should be up shortly, and if there's a game where it happened that you'd like fixed, I can restore any bases that you know the former locations of (or have a pre-bug save from).

Ah, wow. Nevermind, I don't mind starting a new game. Thank you for the help!
