By my new calculations the demo will be out in 14 hr which puts at midnight friday18th / saturday 19th.
Post here when the demo is out, to comment about it.

I actually consider the demo one of my Christmas presents, just an electrical one that wasn't wrapped.

Isn't the counter at less than 50000 which means less than 14 hr from now. SO the counter would indicate this midnight not sat/sun. Anyway, I am confident we will get the demo this weekend just like Firaxis promised. Then, let's all wish them a merry Christmas 'cause they certainly deserve it.

It obviously depends where you are and what time your computer has. Mt has Dec 18th approx 11:00 and the counter is somwhere around 1.3 million seconds. This corresponds to the midnight Sat/Sun time for the appearance of the demo. So if your timer says 50000 check your computer date and time. Also note that changing your computer time will NOT make the demo appear (i tried it)

Of course the demo will come out on Saturday, just after my two days off are over, and I am set to work 9 hour days for a week. Between
working and having a relationship, I don't think that I'll be playing the demo until Christmas. I'll have to rearrange some priorities, I think. Hmmm... lessee... if I quit my job, I'll have to sell my computer.
And ditching the SO... well, that's out of the question; we just 'unbroke' up. So I guess if I scale my sleep back to, say, 3 or 4 hours a night, I should be able to play the demo a good 6 or 7 hours a day. Sounds like a plan to me.
