I just found out that my current contract with my client is being replaced with one with more limited hours due to budget constraints.

I am a world-class consultant on telecommunications & computing systems with a strong focus on strategic planning.

Please contact me at [email protected] if you have need of my services or are interested in hearing more about what I can do for you.

Folks.... let's not turn this one into a joke. Show some respect for someone who just lost their job.

OK.

In all seriousness, sorry to hear about it, TAS. Hope you find something quickly.

A suggestion: check out the government or its many contractors. Despite what you're hearing about budget cuts, there are a wealth of jobs available, though you may have to move if you are unlucky.

www.faa.gov I know has a place where you can find job listings for many places, or at least go to those places and check the jobs there. Plenty of time to surf the net looking for things now, I guess...

Best of luck in your search.

Yeah ... We're pretty good strategicly speaking in the 8th Faction, but you can never get enough !!!

Actually, where do you live ???
Do you have a web site with your resume on it ???

If you do, post it in here, that way if someone hears of anyone, they could refer them to your site !!!

Good luck !!!

A couple people left my current employer to join MCI WorldCom. From what I hear, they're usually on the lookout for qualified comms specialists--you might want to send them a resume even if they aren't actively looking for somebody.

And since the thread is here...anyone in Toronto looking for a Windows C++ programmer? (We got bought out a while ago and all the projects have dried up. I've had nothing to do but surf the web for the last month. Management won't just lay us off and get it over with though. We're guessing they don't want to spoil anyone's Christmas so we figure we'll be goen in January. On the plus side, it'll give me lots of time for the SMAC demo!)

Of course, how foolish of me.

Good luck finding a new contract, please inform us all when you do. I don't need a strategic planner though Not enough money,

Your faithful & hell-bent NIMadier general,
YYYH
