As some of you may or may not know, I am a Junior member. So, I am wondering, just how much work should I be willing to do to get my membership?

That is to say, how much time should I spend in here per day? |

As much work as it takes to get to 30 messages I guess. Unfortunately there's no special prize for becoming a member. |

And is that time well spent?Sorry to keep on like this, but I keep thinking of new things I should have said. . . |

Obviously, of course, I'm not interested in pursuing lofty heights such as those achieved by others on this forum (500 posts, whatever) I mean, I'm not into self-punishment. |

Still and all, it would be kind of nice to finally have member attached to my name after all these months of lurking, and posting so selectively. . . |

I guess what I'm really asking is: Is it worth artificially inflating my post number by posting single thoughts as individual posts and not as a single, coherent message? |

Oops, I guess the question is moot. . . Newly made member and subject (at least at this point) of some mystery, Abdiel |

Membership is worth $13.50.Just kidding. Posting small, random thoughts really is pointless, unless you have a good reason to, or you feel that the post has a humorous message to convey, or the answer you are giving only requires a small amount of space. Oh darn, and I thought they were gonna give complemntary copies to all the members. :PMy take on it: Don't worry about it, I didn't . When you have enough to say, fine. That's better than firing off a bunch of short ones just to make any sort of arbitrary level of posting(be it 30, 100, or 1000). |

No Abdiel! Don't do it!!Once you cross that line there's no going back. Your a prisoner, a prisoner of your own mind. Now you are enslaved to the forums wasting time, money and braincells just to see the mindless trash and drible the we trun over. You will spend more hours hare every day joining clubs, starting pointless threads. Sparking contraversys. But it's too late now, you are damned to walk these forums for eternity. Or atleast until the game comes out. |

A thing is only worth what you or another are willing to give for it.So, if no-one wanted gold, it wouldn't be worth anything. So, what worth something in your bio which will probably be read by a couple of people, who probably really won't overly care about it? Frankly, the idea of posting merely for the sake of posting is almost abhorrent to me. If you want to say something, say it. If not, don't. Simple as that. |

Abdiel, you should spend 27 hours a day in here !!! Good to see you go member status ... congratulations .. you win ... a No-Prize !!! As for posting ... a number is a number ... the only difference is that receive special powers after a certain number of posts !!! Mind you, these powers are conpletely ficticious and are really of no concequence if all you're interested in is the game !!! Fortunately, there are many other interesting conversation in this forum !!! I find that there are many oposing views, but 99% of the time, the deates are informative, intelligent and cordial !!! |
