No Talon, I'm here. I just came on a little late because I wanted to watch 'All Quiet on the Western Front', which I just got at the library for the next week. It was a good movie, moved me more than 'Saving Private Ryan' did. Now, down to buisness. Imran: Nice site. I'll see if I can remember my password for my site, & link it there. My site has gotten 200+ hits, so someone;s bound to see it! Fjorxc of CWAL is writing a finale for the Brood War liberation, with a few other people, so they shouldn't be around much. We may have to move a majority of our troops to the 'Eastern Front' of the CTP forums, & fight the evil dictatorship Activision from there! Fjorxc, after SMAC ships, FIRAXIS has announced that they will announce their next game. Perhaps we can duke it out over that game rather than this one. Oh, Forks forgot to mention one thing in that post: You have to be able to write well and humorously. We rate stories written. Characters are fine, but we have a certain standard for our writers. Darklight: Glad to hear we'd be able to fight it out over the next game! If it's not as promising as SMAC, I doubt I'd even participate in the forums. The next game is going to be an actual Sid design though, since Brian did this one, so I assume it'll be very promising! Do you guys from the old forums remember DorK's bringing up of Sid Meier's Chernobyl. To think we believed him! Then it took Jeff Morris calling him gullable for it to stop! Now on to buisness. DJ RRebel hasn't posted at all in these threads since the first few days after the BoS's creation on Nov 9, 1998. He claims he is working on a secret project of some sort, but we have recieved no reports on it, & our scientific advancement is practicaly nil. Therefore I must propose that the council(all monks/members/civilians in the BoS)vote to expel DJ until he responds & re-applies for a job. This act can be voted on now. If no votes are recieved by Nov 10, then it is a presumed yes, & he is expelled. If DJ posts any time before 12:00AM Dec 10, the act will be withdrawn from the council. - Department of General Dangerous and Irresponsible Recreational Sciences - <<Transmission from dept of G.D.I.R.S african outpost , Sahara division>> Well chap's, its time for my weekly contribution to the BoS. We dosed up a captured CWAL gunman with our new Strontium Penethol Alcopops and proceeded to question them as per BoS Interrogation and torture guidelines 17 sub section iiiv*. After screaming a lot and complaining about someone in a general's outfit forcing him to shoot boyscouts while having polaroids taken, we did manage to get some useful information from him. Apparently CWAL, in their desperation to lure new members, are secretly arranging to have SMAC delayed another three months, in the hopes that people will become so immensely irritated by this they will all form up into angry mobs and raze the Firaxis building (except for the BoS leadership, who will all go and jump off something high, like a Californian). It all sounded a little far fetched, but you never know. P.S I may be taking some more time off, on account of being heiniously sunburned. Shining1

I do not deny writing that, but the "evidence" is cicumstantial, I never said that I joined the WDA of any other orginization for that matter. I planed to take over the world using Hades as my vessle, but that didn't get off the ground. If you would care to have noticed, I have been avoiding clubs and organisations through out my SMAC career, only in the last few days have I been a bit more open the this concept. I didn;t know that BoS had a rule saying that members couldn't have EVER posted in any other thread. As you can see the first post, which shall be marked "exibit A" is a piece of humor rather than a joining statement. It was used to liven up the thread. DN's idea works best. You don't have to make it seem as if somethign wass just a dream for you guys, or that it was much less of a catastrophe, or something. For instance, instead of saying that my little story was just a beer dream, you could have done soemthign along the lines of "The BoS Goes to the Market" to get some more food. Also, that doppleganger that you managed to catch? Impenitrable means absolutely nothing to her. In fact, most things mean absolutely nothing to her. |

So sad most of the Brotherhood have dissapeared. What has happened to them? The fact that they don't post here anymore doesn't mean we can't use them in stories anymore. Check the CWAL list of members on their homepage. How many of them have the *W* in them. |

Well, Jay. In case you guys haven't noticed, 'NIMadier General' is roughly based on 'Brigadier General'. Brigadier is the only rank of it's kind, it can only be a kind of general, there is no single rank of Briagadier. There's a Lieutenant General, & a Lieutenant. See?? Hello fellow BoSers! I think that we should write Operation Falling Water: part two soon. CWAL did two for their Phoenix Rising story so I think we should keep up. I wrote the first part so maybe someone else could write the next one. YYYH? Imran?? Jay??? In the Yahoo club Jay mentioned a BoS chat for Sunday the 20th at 1900 hrs London time. I can make it I think, so can anyone else? Maybe our site could include a little backround info for all of the current writers/contributers to the BoS. A floor layout to the HQ would be nice, but it's Imran's page and he can do what he wishes with it. -Talon |
