I was just wondering how many veterans of the AC forum on Firaxis' site before this site was launched are still around? I used to post on there, before I went into 6 months enforced lurking I seem to remember Brother Greg being around but I can't remember many others that are still here now.

There are quite of few of us serious posters still lurking around, posting occassionally, waiting for meaty on-topic posts to be made. |

Although I never posted, I was actually a lurker for some time on the old www.firaxis.com forums. I only started posting once the new www.alphacentauri.com forums went up. But I still remember seeing Foxtaur and others on the old board. |

I did a lot of lurking on the www.firaxis.com forums too. However I did post a few times under the name of Dred Locke, mostly in the SMG forum. I did get a few comments in for the request for SMAC manual features. |

Then surely you have notices some of the on-topic discussions, TAS. Especially Rang's threads. This is not a desert. |

I posted two or three times on the firaxis boards, and have been reading posts on both since April... Just think of the hours of physics I could have done. Antiam |

TAS: "There are quite of few of us serious posters still lurking around, posting occassionally, waiting for meaty on-topic posts to be made."No,no,no!!! I'm a fossile as well, but I strongly reject being called "serious"! I AM NOT SERIOUS!!! This is very serious. NIM Brother Greg, Amen. |

Umm, Roland. What kind of insanity is "Dirugawhabamania" ?? I wanna know, it sounds like something I'd like to have... I lurked for a few minutes on the old boards at firaxis.com. My cousin was letting me use his net(before mine was up!), & I happened to jump in & see some posts. Can't seem to remember what they were, or who posted in them, but I think I remember Greg there. Were you posting as 'Greg Woodstock' there BG, or is that just a symptom of my over-active imagination? Your faithful & hell-bent NIMadier general, YYYH |

No, I was posting there as "Greg Woodstock", just like I did in the first incarnation on the Alphacentauri.com boards. Only in these new OWO boards that I have used "Brother Greg", and that was onlt cos I liked the name when everyone used to call me by it...Brother Greg. |

Yo, Dirugawhabamania is just the insanity you want it to be. That's what makes it so great and widespread... |

Well, if it's so great & widespread, how come I've never heard of it? Maybe the medical community fears it so much, that they keep it a secret, & the ones who have it are kept into their continent of birth. Must be why I've never left North America in my life....Thanks for answering BG, I though I saw you there.... Your faithful & hell-bent NIMadier general, YYYH |

An advantage of the old forum was that it was smaller. You knew everyone. And you could find topics easily. Now I know what is missing. a search utility for that forum would be nice. Besides that, this is one of the biggest forums I have every seen. Ciao Marian Editor of the Alpha Centauri Zone http://www.juhu.de/hartel/alpha |

Au, How could you lurk on www.alphacentauri.com for 6 months?? They opened in June, that would make them 6 months old on Dec 1!! You came out of lurking some time in August IIRC. That would be something like 2 months on alphacentauri.com. Oh well.Your faithful & hell-bent NIMadier general, YYYH |
