Call to Power looks like the dorkiest game of ALL time and a disgrace to the civilization genre, please tell me what you think.

You are the MAN IkshahI! CTP is a disgrace, anything Brian or Sid doesn't have involment in is a disgrace, and SMAC is the only true presdeccesor, and SMAC will be the greatest game in the history of the Universe, it will be the trancendent gaming experience, and if it's delayed past January I'm going to kill myself.

The eco-terrorist in the game looks like the Jolly Green Giant, doesn't he?? It's pretty stupid to, & what the hell is the purpose of the Park Ranger??
It might be ok if they took all those stupid units out, but then it would be CivII with some new graphics.

You are right it does seem like a bit of a joke. What happened to realism? I guess they are aiming at the under 5 turn based strategy fan. Maybe it's like Teenage Mutant Ninja Civilisation.

The Essence is "Sid Meier's" not "Civilisation". The people at activision don't seem to realise this. "Call to power" could have been created by an incompetent chimp with 3 minutes and the Civ II scenario editor.

I was going to get CTP so I had something to kill the time with and make fun of on the forums, but now that it's delayed, forget it. I'm going to be too busy with a real game:SMAC.
