I was happy when the 'automate settler' patch came out for Civ2... but in SMAC, I'd like to be able to give orders to my units which are more custumized. For example, telling a 'settler' to "build a road network between cities", "irrigate and build solar cells, but no easy-for-enemies-to-travel roads", and so forth.
I'd also like to be able to order military units to "patrol this area", "explore coastlines", "explore interior", "do (or do not) open goody huts", "accompany trader unit and protect it", and anything else my devious little mind can come up with.

What would you like to be able to automate your units to do?
