How should we plan our relations, in whatever way, against a new found faction, the 10th American faction? |

When did they come into existance ??? Hmmm .. I think I like our current relations with our southern neighbors the way they are (excluding the whole salmon situation in the Pacific) !!! But our true brothers are with the 9th Faction of EuRoland !!! |

*************** Copied Post *************** I really like my scenerio alot though .. really if you think about it, it makes sense !!! Captain Garland secretly discovers that the 8th Cryobay is still supporting life, but is just cut off and badly damaged !!! He, along with a couple of his closest advisors stage his death, so they can stay behind to help them !!! They realise that for the sake of humanity they must make the rest of the crew go to Chiron while they still can, so they don't want to raise the issue of should they stay to save 1/8th or should they go in the interest of 7/8ths !!! The fact is, both are important, but humanity needs a large amount of the crew to go !!! Unfortunately, as captain, he cannot find it within his (Canadian) heart to leave 1/8th of the crew behind !!! Therefore GARLAND stages his own death to force the other leaders to be to compromise and make their way to Chiron !!! Garland stays behind with 1/8th of the crew (which now has alot of room to grow on the ship) for SMAC2:the return to Chiron or whatever !!! They could even make their way into SMAC after 60 years or whatever amount was said in the story ... because they now have alot of room to grow ... plus they wouldn't have any competing factions to deal with so they would concentrate on growth and research !!! They'd still have to figure out a way of keeping 1/8th of the supplies and food without the others catching on, but this chouldn't be too difficult when you think about it!!! He just has to carefully do it while he's still "alive" and in control of the ship !!! But eventually this technologically superior faction could return to Chiron and Garland ... disgusted at the war and chaos ... decides it's time for him to take over again and put things in order !!! I think that could be an awsome bonus for who ever beats all the other factions !!! I for one hate it when a good game ends ... this way, once you beat all the factions, a ship could crash land on the map (doesn't have to be too graphically appealing) .. so you'll have one more faction to beat ... it'll look easy at first because they'll only have one city to start with, but in reality their tech would be superior, and they could have 100's of units, so they could easily take a continent or two, but you'd have to make a stand somewhere and fight back !!! To me this would double my pleasure of a game !!! (admit it ... you all hate it when a good game ends) !!! ***************************************** That's just a small dose ... the original threads contained the proof and evidence of Garland's Canadian origins !!! I'll put some of them up periodicly !!! |

My computers show me that the last message, at 8:08, from Imram, may or may not be true because my spying computers noticed that at 8:05, he put a message on the 11th faction thread that he is going to be a backstabing person. He wants to turn our two glorious factions against each other and then try to assilmilate both our remains. I, as Finance minister have set up a 200 billion dollars armed forces package to be used for buying the lastest equiptment and recruiting more soldiers. I would not mind being the Chief of Security and the Minister of Environment... I would propose that we have a strong counterespionage force...and maybe get some assistance in that from the secret KGB/MI5/MI6/SAS/CIA/NSA factions, the Israeli/Zionist Factions, the Korean National Security Agency, and set ours up as Section 86, or Cansec8. Also, i suggest that we, as a whole, become a partner in the Non-Aligned Movement of AlphaCent (NAMAC). This will allow us to covertly take control of the weaker nations. |

1)Ministers need plans and must create jobs for people within their ministry. for example, cheif of defence gets a general for the army, a general for the navy, etc.. 2)The mighty plans of mine now become public: Education/Technology: step 1: Lower Teacher/Student Ratio to 1:5 step 2: Make it mandatory to goto school from the age of 4-5 until 24. step 3: Raise teacher knowledge to 250% of when started. step 4: at age 13, find out students special talents and have them concentrate on that talent but always having a subject in each categorie(science,art,english) step 5: quintuple number of research facilities every five years. step 6: become most technologically, artistically, athleticly advanced with training and heart a major part. step 7: remember that we still have flaws and not get too arrogent. Anyways, being the Canadian Factions, starting leader is really irrelevant, I plan to impliment a plan of shared leadership for all qualifying citizens ... 25 billion? not enough for a planet, i assure you. however, i'll use that and try not to go over budget. first of all, i won't repeat the US's mistake of buying $2K toilets in some back trail restroom. Let's see...i definitely will require at least 5 billion for several state of the art labs for environmental research. I'll also use 5 bill to set up the EcoPolice (all under Big TreeFeller). they'll collect to huge fines meted out to the polluting companies. for the remaining 15 billion, i've yet to decide. natural resources shall be carefully used, so as not to disturb the ecological balance. however, mining will be permitted so long as certain guidelines are followed. Energy: cold fusion, sonic fusion, laser fusion, any kind of fusion fusion fusion! ok...maybe a bit of matter/antimatter reaction and solar and wind and hydro and geothermal. we'll have to see about our landing conditions, and which will give us the greatest -ahem- "bang for the buck". BUT NO FOSSIL FUELS ARE TO BE USED FOR POWER GENERATION UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!! do i get a black budget for security ops? i don't know how much i want to snoop yet, since i don't have that many spies and agents to work with...i do know that i want at least 3bill for extensive computer security methods for government computers and files. it'll also go to setting up elecespionage schools. |

I'll take the social welfare if nobody wants it. This way DJ could concentrate on his leadership. I'll make sure that nobody stays on it for too long. We could hire the unemployed to work on the other project of the faction. This way we will save billions on social welfare that could be given to Qcubed. does this mean that i'm not the environmental minister anymore? i may be an Ami, but i'm not exactly proud to be an American. i'm not the patriot that i should be for the US, but can you blame me? i like Canada. i've been there once, and it's soooo cool there. the wilderness, the accents, the (comparatively) less morbid fascination with the sex lives of the political leaders...i'm sick of being admired and hated for being American. i'm Korean, and i'm damn proud of it, and i'd go over there in an instant...but there's not Korean faction, and Canada ain't so bad. even though i have said things like america can fix itself and all of that, i still hope that it's true somewhat - but i have my doubts. too many jack@$$e$ in power, etc... meanwhile, i know that i'm American but i'd love to have a chance to work it out with you canadians to see if we could make things better. |

Well, I'm going to start by dealing with things that have already been done, and portioning up the budget. >Infrastructure: >Step 1: fix current infrastucture(road and rails) I'm going to allocate only 2.5 billion for this, as I expect it won't be very long before we move to steps 2 and 3 >step 2: create factionwide maglev train network and >step 3: create factionwide maglev automobile network I will allocate 10 billion to the train network, and seperately 25 billion to the automobile network, but the projects will be loosely joined. >step 4: setup factionwide superspeed/superweight aircraft network. This I will allocate 30 billion to, 5 billion of which is dedicated to make military movements more effective. >step 5: create near instantaneous transport network, will take many years. Here, I envision a sort of matter transference device, and will set aside 40 billion for research in 2 different departments, one dealing with objects, and the other with people. I hope you realise that we have alot of work ahead of us before we even reach Chiron .. feel free to go overbudget on anything, because all money will be meaningless on Chiron !!! Bhurak .. Welcome to the 8th faction ... what kind of position would you like to hold here ??? Where are you from ??? As for diplomatic ties .. we have an alliance with the Americans ... we shall treat them as neighbors for now !!! None of us have time to waste on war before arriving on Chiron !!! Good job Victor. Shouldn't you set up defensive garrisons at all the embassies because of fanatics and because people can move around(Ami to euroland embassy, for example) .Bhurak, would you like to have Infrastructure because it is the ministry I like the least,not that I hate it. It is already started for you. If you need help, just ask since we will be more integrated in the future. YYYH, we are on a new planet. This means that previous experiance counts, previous diplomatic relations do not. This just means we are wary. Qcubed 1) Which country do you prefer Canada or USA? 2) Which country is better? 3) Do you believe Public and Private lives should be separate? 4) Which is more important pride or truthfulness? 5) Which is more important the good of society or the good of a person? please answer the questions truthfully. Infrastructure entails improving infrastructure,be it matter moving or information moving, until it is as fast,reliable and efficient as possible. victor, you can have $90B for a secret project, find financing for the things which are *somewhat* non-secret(panaeling, crew quarters,improved food,gravity nets, basically things that could help any missions) 790/1000 billion spent WCW chris |

Well, I'm going to start by dealing with things that have already been done, and portioning up the budget. >Infrastructure: >Step 1: fix current infrastucture(road and rails) I'm going to allocate only 2.5 billion for this, as I expect it won't be very long before we move to steps 2 and 3 >step 2: create factionwide maglev train network and >step 3: create factionwide maglev automobile network I will allocate 10 billion to the train network, and seperately 25 billion to the automobile network, but the projects will be loosely joined. >step 4: setup factionwide superspeed/superweight aircraft network. This I will allocate 30 billion to, 5 billion of which is dedicated to make military movements more effective. >step 5: create near instantaneous transport network, will take many years. Here, I envision a sort of matter transference device, and will set aside 40 billion for research in 2 different departments, one dealing with objects, and the other with people. I would also like to dip into the 25 billion security budget WCW has set aside for use on these research projects, I'd say about 100 million would be the most I'd need. This leaves me with a fair bit of leftover funding for emergencies and other projects, suggestions and comments are welcome. 107.5/125 billion Bhurak Starkiller |
