Notice something? Most of the arguments before the loss of the forums were capitalism vs communism, or some form of this. Now they're all religious. Hrm... what changed? What happened?

Because the Cold War is over (congratualtions to the main victors, Germany and Japan-- well played!). Now it's time for jihad. Repeat after me:My God's better than your God. (If polytheistic, repeat as necessary.) Atheists may substitute: Your God's no damn good at all! |

On the contrary, the debate seems to have morphed from Capitalism vs. Socialism to Social issues (education, the welfare state, abortion, etc.). Intrestingly enough, evolution and religion have joined the discussion.I think we just talked Capitalism vs. Socialism to death. Education is getting close. Welfare is only starting (although this is a component of capitalism vs. socialism). Oh, well, at least it's interesting |

There were times before the fall of the new old forums that religion was debated with vigor. When it's back, look at the Theism vs. Atheism thread, for example. |
