Someone tried that in the original thread, and Brother Greg said that the answer wasn't there, so it must be something else. I claim high priest! When someone denounces NIM, I'll send out DHE, the head fanatic to lead all the other fanatics, who I will have whipped into a religous frenzy, to engage the infidel in a jihad of epic proportions! Then, AuH20, the NIMinister, can placate the non-believers to keep them from counter-attacking. What's this engineers are there to fix science for??? No, no, no: Scientists discover how natural phenomenae work so that engineers can be puzzled about how the hell they're supposed to apply all that stuff. Then the engineers screw up the applications and have to do it all over again, and again, and again, and. . . |

I think you'll find that the brotherhood of NIM has it's origins in the brotherhood of NIMH, a group of hyperintelligent rats in a rather sad and boring childrens book called "Mrs. Gatsby and the rats of NIMH". It was also made into a low budget don bluth cartoon, a sort of "Coming to america" for the eighties. |

Welcome brothers and sisters all! I charge you all to live within the strictures of NIM, to be one with NIM. Not all can obtain such lofty heights, but the reward is in the striving. Long years it took me to ascend to transcendence and discover the mysteries of NIM, and along the way many Azugals fell by the wayside. Well, in order to prepare myself for the great task of solving the mystery of NIM, I am going to have to climb the tallest mountain(Mount NIM! or Everest, whatever you wanna call it) Descend into the deepest valley(NIM valley, or death valley, or I think there's a deeper one somewhere). Swim the largest river(The River NIM)& finally, goto a NIMet monestary & enlighten myself. Or, in other words, I have to leave the forum for a bit. BTW, thanks for the help with the book, I am confident of solving it soon. |

I apply also for head melange smoker. When melange needs to be smoked, I'll be there. I can even do the two jobs at once, but things could get kind of messy with all of those pesky pyschic thingamajigs goin on. Also, any word of profit sharing or a dental plan? 401k? Christmas bonus? Um, right now it is 10.33 am Monday morning, November 9th. Yeah, I said I was back on the old boards, and just after I returned, they broke. Conspiracy anyone? Speaking of which, better get back to work. =)Wife's good. No kids yet, but that's all to plan. 'Nother 2-3 years yet. Looking forward to it though. =) Since I transcended to oneness with NIM, I don't need PROSmac anymore, so I suppose my drive to discover it has ended. That's what everyone wants to know. Many have speculated on it, but apart from the now departed Kamosa and myself, no-one knows. A bit of history (dang, still haven't gotten back to work I replied wasn't it "/\/|/\/\" or something. Then later I threw in a post with one word: "Azugal". On the basis of recent events (unless I'm more confused than Imran), NIM would seem to have its own focus and meaning, distinct for each individual it came into contact with. Having only one truly transcended one amoung us at the present time, I can only hazard a fleeting guess at the current incarnation, but I suspect it is something along these lines: Brother Greg: "No, I'm Married." |

I posted a detailed explanation in the old forums to someone asking the meaning of NIM why Imran couldn't be NIM, but it was theoretically possible for someone to be made of pure NIM. Since I don't feel like hacking into it and finding out, I'll leave that for someone else to C&P the explanation. I apply for Chief Azugal Nimzoologist, as I am already an accomplished expert in the field of azugals, having helped MikeH isolate azugalphetamines as well as capturing all of our captive azugals, and writing a brief poem on them in the "Amen Brother Greg" thread restarted by YYYH. In fact, I'm currently on safari now in Nimania for more azugals to capture. |

Brothers Brothers Peace be amongst you all Brothers The search for NIM is not an internal battle. NIM is found as one finds an unintended destination on a journey. The discovery of NIM is not one of text and definitions. NIM is much more than that. What was once born as simply NIM has become so much more. You do not look to the meaning of the bible by looking at history and fact alone. The same can be said about NIM. NIM is in all of use even when we do not recognize it. After poring over ancient tomes on the dread topic of NYM, I have found terrible news. It seems in the Great Age before the beginning of time as we know it, two forces existed: NIM and NYM. NIM stood for all that was good, just, and bizarre: NYM was a vile force for evilness, hate, and bizarreness (as well). In a great war, all the evil practitioners of NYM were slaughtered and the Great NYM itself was imprisoned. But in the battle the world was destroyed, and was rebuilt again on www.alphacentauri.com where the force of NIM reigned. Alas, it was a good fight and the warriors fought well but NYM can not be killed with simple thermonuclear devices or swords and guns. One must acknowledge NYM and understand it's place in the universe, then you can control it. For you can never destoy it. Those followers of NIM are blind to the true NYM. some day they will understand. Until that time NYM shall wait and watch. His time will come again. |
