They should have a time travel option. You would have to make a time machine that would cost as much as a wonder. Then you would have to pay a lot of enery to transport some thing to a certain place and time for a turn.that unit could conquer a city and alter the timeline. The computer could take a long time trying to re do the time line up till where you are or you could play from where the unit ended up. It would take a long time to work it out but it could work. If they hired me I might be able to get it to work. But if it did work you would probably have enemy units coming from the future at the begining of the game.

This is why people are stopping to watch Star Trek !!!OK .. So .. I send my superduper end of game mega unit to the first turn to my enemy's home city ... capoof ... game over ... yaaawn !!! Unless of course ... time travel is to Alpha Centauri as reaching Alpha Centauri was to Civilization 2 ... then the game would be won be getting that final advance !!! To implement in mid-game wouldn't be too difficult, but it would be so unfair, that for all intents and purposes the game would be over !!! Unless maybe there were a limit to one turn in the past or future that you could send the unit ... then maybe that would be a little more reasonable !!! BTW ... I just read something a month ago or so that time travel for anything living would be imposible because of the stress involved going through time ... blah blah blah .. I think you understand !!! |

I think it would be good for a way to end the game. I think anyting would be better than having humans evolve in 1000 years(sorry people at the place where they work on the worlds greatest games). But they can't change anything now because the game needs to be out soon or I'll spend my money on another game. |

bah. time is but an illusion perpetrated by the manufacturers of space.DCA, His philosophy was a mixture of three famous schools -- the Cynics, the Stoics and the Epicureans - and summed up all three of them in his famous phrase, "You can't trust any bugger further than you can throw him, and there's nothing you can do about it, so let's have a drink." |

Uhh, time travel would be great in the oneplayer game, but what about multiplayer? would u really want to go back to the beggining of the game cause you friend is? im not sure i would, that would make the game way to long. Also, time travel is just another problem that scientist have made up, purely theroy, no backing.... heheScientists make problems, that's why you need engineer's to solve them |

I don't feel like getting into this time travel debate right now, but I couldn't pass up greeting someone who quotes Terry Pratchett books... DCA, "ook!"Wraith "Not a man to mince words. People, yes. But not words." -- (Terry Pratchett, Small Gods) |
