I'm just wondering what your thoughts are on who is the best and why

Spartans. We get big guns, we have the one trait every human has & craves. The trait to survive. While you're all out there worshipping God, & making a profit, we're here in our little land, surviving, while you fools fall to one another!!

Sometimes I just wish I was put into the middle of WWII Berlin with a Star of David on my chest & an American officers uniform on. Maybe then everyone would be a Spartan like me, wait, how?? Oh well, I confuse myself sometimes.

I'd go for peacekeepers, morgan or UoP.
Balance, science or money. All the other things, like big guns, is based on science and money. The fiercest spartan can't kill a hover tank with bare hands!

How exactly could us Spartans kill a hover tank with our bare hands Mike???? I dont think any of us could reach them from the ground to kill them with our bare hands, maybe if they were close to the ground, we could reach in the hatch & kill everyone inside??

Where have you two been! (Eisenhower2 & OmniDude) I haven't been able to find any believers since I started posting!
The Spartans may be able to take down a hovertank with bare hands, but the children in Sister Miriam's Sunday school class can quote John 3:16 by memory and fire a shredder pistol accurately hundreds of yards away.
BTW- I'll tell the truth, I cannot wait to play YYYH in a net game of SMAC. MY GOD! If he spends this much time posting, how many hours will he be playing SMAC!!!!

I don't think any of the factions are good individually. The only way to get a good faction is form your own using traits from the others. I'm thinking a combination Gaia and Sparta faction. Kind of like Druids with an attitude.

The UoP. I don't like to go to war unprepared. When I plan a sneak attack I start building up forces years and years in advance, then get them with one quick blitz, and befor they have had time to re groupe, I hit them with another wave.
I would like to talk more, but I don't want to give away my strategy.

Im planning on building mostly defense troops, & stationing them in cities & forts. That way, it'll take any attackers years, heavy casualties, & a bitter tooth & nail fight to topple me!

Heh I dont know which faction but whoever has the most production will win. I mean does it matter if it takes 5 of my research stations to match one of UoPs' and I can build them 10 times as fast? And In the end there is nothing left to discover so he with the most guns wins!
