Alphahq.net always seems pretty empty, so I was wondering if there was another place that people gather in order to do multiplayer smac, such as heat.net or the zone or some other place.

The best resource for multiplayer SMAC (both IP and PBEM) is Asian Flu's ACOL (Alpha Centauri Online) at www.planetsid.com
There are over 350 registered members, and a lot of people available for PBEM or IP games. It is also becoming the best site for SMAC in general.
Itdoesn'tfit is an idiot - he's never played multiplayer, let alone PBEM, so how would he know if it's too slow?

Yeah I have,although they mostly only lasted 30-40 turns.

Well, then, IDF - why were you posting asking how you send your turn to the next player? Just clogging the forum with questions you knoew the answers to and wasting other peoples time?
