Searching for players for a PBEM, standard rules but Blind Research, at least 4 turns a week. Replay to this message with your preferences if interested.

I would love to play. Ive been in a few PBEM games of SMAC but both died do to game taking to long. So I would prefer an accelerated start. Other than that any settings are fine.

Just started 3, ok 4 the 4th.
See profile 4 availability & personal data.
During workhours, I can forward turn from immediatly to within 1 hour max.
If accelerated, I will not play with the game's Accelerated Start, OK if we hire a CMN.
If from scratch, I'd like look first.
If not Transcend, Librarian at least.
Anything else I'll take what comes.

To all concerned,
If players are still needed I generally have lots of time. I'll play any faction and can easily do a turn or more a day. My preference (like MoSe) would be for no accelerated start unless performed by a neutral CMN and Thinker =/- 1 level difficulty. Anything else is ok as long as all types of victory are enabled. IF you need a CMN let me know and let me know how you would like it to start.
Several ideas,
One, each player send in two save games of a faction they like, one from turn 20 or so and one from turn 50, (though don't work on any Special Projects). This way I have an idea of what you like to do. (thanks cousLee)
Two, I'll just start a game that seems fair to all sides playing each side in a similar fashion.
Three, Each player has some development points that they can spend towards empire creation. I can detail this more if interest is shown.
eladamir, if you are interested let me know, I can tell you how long I think it'll take me depending on the style chosen, and you can go from there.
Creating a neutral game out to 50 turns or so can save about two months or more of email time.

I would like to join a game, but, I have never, ever, ever, even played any kind of internet PBEM or direct play game, so I would have to depend on a lot of help from a lot of people. I don't even know how to "zip" stuff.
On the other hand I played a ton of CIV2 and am currently handling SP SMAC on transcend pretty easily (but to Hades with Hal's transporting PBs. If allowed in I definitely will be dependable, Would you guys give an ultra newbie a shot?

Sorry for bothering all of the guys (and girls of course :-) ) that replayed to my post, but I don't have the time now to monitor a new PBEM... Can someone volunteer to take it insteed of me?
