In an interview with Brian Reynolds of Alpha centauri, he said "(there are) Lots of interesting multiplayer options: choice of simultaneous or sequential turns for internet/lan/modem play; also hotseat and play-by-email."
Does anyone know how to set up simultaneous turns in a multiplayer game?

Why... Just set it up in simultaneous mode. It's the first option in the list I think (options like blind tech, what way vistory is allowed, etc.) It's named simultaneous movement (I guess, I use the german version...)
Of course, wouldn't work with Hotseat/PBEM mode...
